Jacob didn't believe Geoffrey would tell Julianna about this. Thus, he thought she must have gotten the news from someone in the Warriors Alliance.

"You have a spy in the Warriors Alliance, don't you?" Jacob asked.
That was the only way Julianna knew about the challenge so quickly.
