Quentin held nothing back as he explained the entire situation to Jacob, including the part where Sebastian was sacrificing their disciples in the secret realm to increase his own cultivation.
Even though Jacob had braced himself for the worst, he still reeled in shock when he heard about Sebastian treating secret realm disciples as resources and absorbing dozens of them daily.
"Well, as Dark Creed Sect's purple-robed emissaries, it's only natural that you carry out your responsibilities and serve the sect. Isn't that something you should've prepared yourself for?" Jacob commented.
"What we have with Dark Creed Sect is purely a working relationship. Lord Travis promised to give us the mundane world once the spiritual energy was restored," Quentin explained. "We've been trapped in the secret realm for many years, and the speed of our cultivation is declining steadily. If we continued to stay in there, I doubt we'd ever make it into the Ethereal Realm.
