Fabio and Brendan leaped into action the moment they realized Jacob had stopped running. They pursued him with determination, their footsteps echoing against the ground like a war drum. The bloodthirsty beast was preoccupied with its gruesome feast, unable to spare any time to deal with others, but that didn't mean the threat had passed.
"Chad, we can't let him get away! If he reaches the Grus Divina first, it'll spell disaster for all of us!" Fabio shouted, rallying his group as they charged after Jacob.
Chad, sensing the urgency, nodded, his expression grim. "Let's move! We can't allow that peasant to disrupt our plans!"
As Jacob fled with all his might, he felt several presences closing in from behind. A glance over his shoulder revealed Fabio's group gaining on him.
