Embedded into the wall was an enormous relief of King Solomon, carved with an almost unsettling level of detail. His expression was solemn, his robes flowing as if caught in an eternal breeze. Most striking, however, was that his hands, sculpted with delicate precision, were outstretched—holding nothing but air, as if expecting something to be placed within them.
