When grey woke up he was in a dark room the only lighting in the room was a big screen seemingly in a black wall.
Grey got closer to the glowing screen and almost stepped on a weird square on the floor. There was three of them two had arrows facing left and right and the middle was a sideways triangle.
Grey clicked the middle one and the screen started moving the first words read Year 290 Life of Yamato tekeru The first ever Ninja.
Before the screen cut two someone blinking staring at a giant human woman. Who seemed to be sweating and happy at the same time.
After watching for a few grey realized that this memory is starting from birth he looked around but the only things around were the other buttons.
Grey pressed down on one and the video stated to play backwards making him panic so he hopped on the other one twice by accident and the video went by faster in the other direction. He finally understood what was happening and continued to watch his childhood in fast forward.
After skipping most of the kids youth and stopping only when he saw interesting things like scrolls that had information on plants and weapons. They even had mass warfare tactics and techniques for overcoming stronger people.
There wa even was to decode written language and spy while hiding in plain sight.
What amazed grey even more was this thing called a human was able to slay a mage that seemed to have a fire rune. And he slayed him with no rune powers just his body and some hidden weapons.
And for stronger enemies he laid out traps before hand while tricking them into thinking they were hunting him only to be hunted.
This man seemed to defy the impossible his whole life he even pretended to be a woman to hide.
This guy also had two happy wives but they were often left alone since he was out but his friend was killed because he had too many in his harem and they did not get along at all.
Seeing this grey thought about how some rabbits especially in the fist burrow had multiple lovers some even had non rabbit lovers.
While the outer level burrows had pair bonds for life usually. Then there is the wild hares most are basically barbarins that almost never keeps the same mate twice but they are bigger and stronger so they often travel the forest.
This made it clear to grey that having multiple mates could be problematic and dangerous.
As he continued watching he saw this normal human with no powers use sounds to hypnotize and fool people.
He also seduced people with a deeper voice and confidence that made many question themselves.
This man was even able to talk his way out of most situations while using the truth as a weapon that mislead people where he wanted.
His voice soothed hundreds and inspired many more.
Grey continued to watch his life and study what seemed useful or seemed to be cool, he even studied seduction.
~meanwhile~ Karma, zinc and shin were walking through the swamp talking about how they meet grey.
After a while shin spoke up "so how exactly does your luck rune work exactly?"
Karma thought for a moment. " well it kinda works in a way that something random benefits me like to protect me. Oh but there was this fox that made all the rabbits unlucky."
Shin just looked confused " isn't that really vague for an ability… to be fair luck isn't a physical element" zinc just nodded.
Karma just smiled at zinc "I thought you could speak or do you only talk to shin ~oh my, how my feelings ache." Karma said dramatically.
Zinc let out a low shy voice "I'm sorry"
Shin glared at karma "don't mess with her she's sensitive."
"My bad I was trying to lift the mood." Karma said.
"And we are running out of food supplies, you rabbits might be able to survive off of plants. But we hyenas need bones and meat while zinc needs metal and fruits."
"And your older sister is still knocked and laying on my back and what use is a injured healer!"
Karma suddenly had a great idea "want to see if my luck rune can get us food?"
Shin just gave a nodded while grinning menacingly "I'm starving"
Karma started running his rune into overdrive.
Hopping to find something edible for shin.
A few explosions went off nearby before two loud roars rang out.
The fight continued for a total of fifteen seconds before complete silence.
Shin lead them to the noise and found a crater with two dead creatures.
On one side was a bull with metal horns and a few plants wrapped around its neck clearly the bull was suffocated.
On the other side was a dryad surrounded by plants she was clearly impaled by multiple metal spikes.
Shin looked at karma in shock "did your luck rune have them kill each other!"
Karma just smiled smugly "look the dead bull has meat, bones and metal while the dead dryad has fruits and plants."
" Now that we have food for the night we will rest here. We can make it to the 11th burrow in about two nights."
Shin was already eating the bull and zinc was eating the metal horns."
"We will take turns watching in case something comes."
"Don't tell me what to do ~rabbit~ I'm only here because my lady zinc is here to help greys family."
Karma looked shocked "I thought we started bonding and are friends now?"
"Sorry I'm just stressed let me just eat."
Zinc spoke up in a low voice " my friend is just angry and hungry give her time."
"I get it we all just need to calm we all been through some things. Good night I hope my luck will protect us."
Back in another crater six animals in a white dome started waking up.
