"Are you being… ingenious with me now?" Iris asked sullenly, since she didn't know how to call him out on tricking her with a kiss without sounding weird.
"You need to learn how to compose yourself." Cane brushed her bangs and caressed her rosy cheek. "You are always so easy to read."
People around them watched this interaction and how gentle the Alpha from the Howling Wolf pack was with his mate.
