Jordan sighed, his stern expression softening somewhat. "I understand that things can get busy, but you need to prioritize. Your education is not something to be taken lightly. We're giving you this opportunity to learn at home for a reason."
Emma nodded, her eyes downcast. "I understand. I'll talk to them first thing tomorrow."
Jordan's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Emma. "Is this because of something that happened this afternoon? I heard you suddenly cooked fries today, and they said it was for Allen."
Emma felt a jolt of surprise, certain that either Alex, one of the butlers, or Kai, Allen's butler, had been the source of this information. She quickly composed herself, nodding. "Yes," she admitted. "But as I said, it's all over now."
Emma wanted to address this first to prevent Jordan from making a bigger deal out of it. "It was just a small argument, Dad," Allen added, his tone reassuring. "There's nothing you need to worry about."
