The phone rang in the room a few times, bringing Max out of his thoughts and he grabbed it almost immediately.
" Hello? "
Max asked calmly.
"Before we proceed further, my dear friend, I would still like to know how you figure in this situation. You'd have to be a drug dealer too I guess. So are you a major trafficker?"
The kidnapper asked curiously.
"You were going to answer some questions ."
Max reminded him and tried to change the topic about his identity. After all, if they find out that a detective is involved in this mess, they might become more vigilant or even drop this deal altogether.
"I wish you'd tell me your name, I might recognize it."
The kidnapper said humorously.
"I might recognize yours , Mike."
Max finally decided to call him by his name.
Although it will make him a little alert. But it would also divert his attention from his identity and make him nervous . And generally people tend to make more mistakes when they are nervous.
