Leslie said with tears in his eyes.
"Hehehe.... it's almost impossible, but not impossible. And besides, you worked for them for years," the Three of Spades said. "You built some of those firewalls yourself, didn't you?"
Leslie's hands began to shake. His mouth twisted. "That was a long time ago…"
"And how much could have really changed?" the Three of Spades countered, his tone almost teasing. "Surely you know the architecture they're using. You know the patterns. And since you were *inside* the system, you know the backdoors, the old maintenance protocols, the forgotten security layers…"
Leslie's breathing quickened. "But I—I was only part of the encryption teams—"
"You're being modest," the Three of Spades said darkly. "You were one of the best cryptographers the Association ever had. They called you a prodigy."
