In the end, after struggling for a somewhat… embarrassing amount of time, Di Tou managed to gather up a large bundle of grass and a long branch. As for why it took so long… Di Tou had accidentally crushed the branch he was holding onto several times, as although he didn't do anything as silly as forgetting to re-orient himself so that the branch wouldn't be crushed when he fell or spasmed, when he lost control over his body, he also lost control of his strength, meaning that much less a simple grip, even a slap on the ground could cause quite the catastrophy. To be honest, Di Tou was once again rather thankful that he wasn't that near a village; otherwise, the villagers might be out and about right now in great fear, praying to the mountain deity and hoping they would soothe their anger…
After trying quite a few times, and breaking more then his own fair share of branches, Di Tou collected all the materials!
