Looking at the three measly pieces of silver left in the bag, Di Tou naturally felt a strong sense of heartache. How hard it was to earn money, and how swiftly it all faded away! Still, although the expenditure was relatively high, Di Tou felt that it was still within reason. The price that the hawker had taken was roughly the same as the amount the proper boat would take, even being one silver cheaper!
Originally, Di Tou had expected to have only two silvers left over, which would be enough to buy a few pieces of bread to fill his stomach over the long journey.
Seeing as the hawker had left something for him, although he was still eighty to ninety percent sure this was a trick, Di Tou's impression of the hawker and the whole situation shot up a notch.
