After arriving properly on the 'other side' there no longer seemed to be any danger on the bridge. Or, at the very least, the dangers were no longer quite as overt, and Di Tou was no longer barraged by an endless series of attacks, this being the case, Di Tou naturally didn't directly head towards the light, which seemed to be the obvious continuation point, where there would likely be far more trials, and instead decided to head first towards the pavilion to see if there was anything strange or worth paying attention to.
After all, in the previous area it was clear the trial was based around observation, endurance, and a little bit of luck. Getting a bit more information shouldn't be a bad thing.
