"FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE!" The sirens blared, and the ship began to quake as it rose, its thrusters powering through with all their might.
"Finally... we made it". Flying through the sky, breaking the atmosphere and pushing forward, we were finally in space. Our lifelong dream was finally completed. Since we were young, my brother and I had been the same; the same clothing taste, favourite foods, colours, hobbies and eventual career path. We studied, ate, and worked; we took our tests together and eventually became space ready. He and I were always close. We gave the first speeches at each other's weddings; he was the first I told about my pregnancy, and I was the first he informed about his sickness. I supported him through it, always being there to help him, and in return, he helped me with my newborn. We were always on the same level, with the same progression through tasks and identical test scores. We always knew what each other was thinking and feeling, but even I wasn't expecting him to leave me. Our dream was to go to the stars together, and he left me to make it there quicker. It took me so long to forgive him, learn to live without him by my side, and accept that he had left, but I finally did. Now I'm going to meet you again, you may have reached the stars first, but I've caught up. As the infinite cosmos surrounded the ship, moving further and faster from the Earth, I look down, smiling at the urn in my lap. "I've finally caught up with you, and we've made it to the stars together".
