The crowd below at Moonheart Lake paled, gazing skyward at the enormous creature. Their throats seemed to close up; words failed them.
Many even felt an inexplicable sense of dread, an urge to kneel and worship this awe-inspiring dragon. The scene was nothing short of breathtaking.
Yet, standing beside Alexander, Turkey merely curled its lip, filled with disdain for the black dragon. "Master, I really loathe this fellow. He dares to challenge us; I must make him aware of my prowess," Turkey said to Alexander.
"No, this is a matter between Smith and me. I will face him myself; there's no need for you to intervene," Alexander replied, patting the turkey's shoulder.
He turned to Alice, signaling for her not to intervene. Today, he had resolved to confront Smith's challenge alone.
