Alexander kept walking forward, with Jessica following closely beside him.
"Alexander, was that thing just now... really not a ghost?" Jessica asked, still frightened.
"No," Alexander glanced at her and said.
"But why couldn't the waiter see him?" Jessica inquired.
"He said it himself, didn't he? He used an invisibility spell," Alexander raised an eyebrow.
Jessica nodded, not quite understanding, then after walking in silence for a moment, something dawned on her. "Alexander, did you see that man from the beginning?"
"Yes," Alexander replied.
"So, you... you did it on purpose to see me make a fool of myself!" Realizing this, Jessica was furious, gritting her teeth.
Remembering how she had trembled in fear, clinging to Alexander and weeping bitterly, Jessica felt a wave of shame wash over her, her cheeks flushing red as apples.
After having their meal, Alexander was in no hurry to return, opting to take a leisurely stroll instead.
