Considering she was of the Phoenix race and basically lived alongside flames, it was a rare and disturbing sensation.

Right then, a dark silhouette appeared in the forcibly torn opening of the sky. Its body was roughly the size and shape of a human, head and four limbs intact—yet anyone could tell at a glance it wasn't flesh and blood. It looked more like a mass of dark flames burning in constant fury.
