Eventually, Alestradra's superior skill won out over Qanja's stubbornness. She launched another vicious attack, forcing Qanja to retreat yet again. This time, however, Alestradra wasn't quite so lucky. Qanja slid into position behind her, stabbing her spear between Alestradra's shoulder blades.
Alestradra fell to her knees, writhing in pain as the wound seared her flesh. Her face contorted with agony as Qanja continued to press her advantage, digging deeper with every thrust of her spear. The referee called for a ten count, but Alestradra didn't even make it that far.
As soon as the count reached zero, Qanja yanked her spear free and withdrew, breathing heavily as she looked upon her fallen opponent.
"I did it!" Qanja cried out, her voice filled with joy. "It's over!"
The crowd roared their approval, their cheers shaking the stadium from wall to wall. Qanja took a deep breath and raised her arms victoriously, basking in the adoration of the crowd.
