The morning came too fast for Cabbot. But though he woke early like he normally did, he realized that until he found out what was needed from him here, there was nothing to do. Twenty years of setting up a stall in the Mamori Market and this was the first day he would be taking a rest.
At least that was the plan until he heard a knock at his door. He tensed up and grabbed a stick that he had placed next to the entrance before peeking out.
"Raven?" Cabbot asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Me, you are the one who up and moved without telling everyone!" Cabbot opened the door wider, letting Raven in. "If I hadn't seen what happened in the market yesterday, even I wouldn't know."
"You saw that?" Cabbot winced, remembering the scalding soup burning into his skin.
"I'm not the only one. Not that I'm blaming you, we all know what those guys are like. You got lucky someone was able to save you."
