Chapter six:
I was walking around the watchtower when my phone started vibrating.
"Hi, mom!" I said.
"Travis, where are you?" She said and I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed.
"Well, I suppose I should be honest. Two weeks ago, I found a rock that gave me the ability to run super fast. And now, I am in outer space, on a mission to stop the world from an alien invasion." I explained.
"What the hell, you better be telling me the truth." She said.
"Yes, I am. I'll explain everything when I come back home. By mom, I love you." I then hung up and noticed Dinah Lance and Diana Prince heading to the lab, so I followed them. There was a commotion whenever Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne had discovered that D. E. O was planning on using the mother box to make weapons. Everyone was arguing, but I was staying quiet.
"Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, and what are you?" Clark Kent said.
"Genius, billionaire, CEO, and playboy." Replied Bruce Wayne.
"I know guys with none of that. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play." Said Clark Kent.
"You're a experiment, Kent. Everything special about you came out of kryptonite." Replied Bruce Wayne. I felt something strange in the atmosphere, like something bad was about to happen. I left the lab, and looked around nothing. I then went back to the lab.
The computer behind us started beeping and we all turned around to face it.
"Sorry kids, you don't get to see my trick after all." Said Billy Baston.
"You located the mother box?" Asked Martian Manhunter.
"I could get there the fastest." Said Clark Kent.
"I am faster than the speed of sound. So technically I'm faster than you Clark." I replied and Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent started bickering. There was a loud explosion, and the vent underneath us exploded. I fell down the vent with Dinah Lance and Martian Manhunter.
"We're okay." Dinah Lance said. Martian Manhunter started painting and breathing heavily. "We're okay right?" Said Dinah Lance.
"Dinah!" I said and lifted the sheets off her leg with my super speed.
"Martian Manhunter you gotta fight it. This is just what Ares wants." She said.
"I'll go see what's happening." I said and Dinah Lance nodded at me, I then ran across the watchtower and into the bridge.
"What happened?" I asked Hawkgirl.
"External combustion. Engine three." She said and I ran to the deck of engine three. It wasn't hard to miss, as it was engulfed in a mountain of flames. I turned around and saw some people breaking into the watchtower.
"Guys I think I found Robin Hood." I said.
"You mean Oliver Queen." Replied Clark Kent.
"Yeah him. I'm gonna follow him." I said and followed them through the hole, but ended up taking a wrong turn. I then fell down another vent, and into the hangar. I felt the floor shaking. I then stood up, and saw a white martian with Diana Prince inside of the hangar. I ran across and jumped on Martian Manhunter, and he started swinging me about.
"Woah, so this is the power of the Martian Manhunter. Hi Diana." I said and Martian Manhunter threw me off his back, and slammed me into a wall. "That was fun." I said to myself.
Wonder Woman held out her hand, and Zeus's lightning bolt flew into her hand. Martian Manhunter ran towards her, but Wonder Woman uppercut him with Zeus's lightning bolt, and he flew across the room.
Martian Manhunter then started running towards the both of us as Diana Prince threw Zeus's lightning bolt towards Martian Manhunter, and Martian Manhunter attempted to catch it, but was knocked backwards onto the floor. He tried getting up, and tried picking up Zeus's lightning bolt, but was unsuccessful. Diana Prince grabbed Zeus's lightning bolt, and jumped on Martian Manhunter's back, using Zeus's lightning bolt to choke him. I noticed her lasso of truth on the desk, and grabbed it, and ran around Martian Manhunter's legs. Once I wrapped it around his legs, Wonder Woman made Martian Manhunter more forward, and because I wrapped the lasso of truth around his legs, he fell over. Wonder Woman got off him and stood next to me.
"Nice thinking little one. Not bad." Diana Prince said.
"Thanks, but it won't hold." I replied and right on cue Martian Manhunter broke free from his bonds and growled at us.
"Well that was sooner than I expected." I said as a space ship appeared at the window, and started shooting at the Martian Manhunter. Martian Manhunter then growled loudly before jumping through the window, and onto the space ship. The space ship started nosediving and after a while exploded.
"So that's his trick. He becomes a white martian whenever he's angry." I said.
"It would appear so." Replied Wonder Woman as she picked up Zeus's lightning bolt. "Ares." She said before rushing out of the room..
