The serpent opened its jaw wide and pounced towards Maia, trying to secure its meal. Then it planned to take care of Jayden and that small black jelly-like creature.
*ROOOAAAAARRRR*
All of a sudden, the loud roar of a lion sounded.
The serpent turned its gaze to look towards the Nemean lion, and it was quite surprised on seeing that dangerous-looking beast. But without stopping its movements, it charged straight towards Maia.
It just planned to go along with its original plan and then escape. After such a long fight, it was already quite exhausted, and even if it was at full strength, the serpent wasn't sure if it could really defeat that lion.
Maia was distracted as she looked at Jayden for a moment.
She had completely forgotten about that serpent, but she was startled as she didn't expect the giant snake to make this move.
But Jayden suddenly flashed in front of her. In one moment, there was no one, but in the next moment, he appeared out of nowhere.
