Chapter 7 - Episode 2/Chapter 7: The Great Truck Stop Rumble

The Galaxy Truck stops and travel centers were perhaps the most popular in the country, known for having the highest quality amenities and best looking locations with plenty of space (no pun intended). Drivers at Doggonit Trucking will spend most of the company's money fueling, showering, and emptying their personal wallets at either a Galaxy or Cockpit truck stop, per company regulations. Jay preferred the Galaxy over Cockpit only because of the all you can eat buffet that they offered, but as far as Jimmie Dawn was concerned, he'd prefer his drivers prioritize Cockpit over Galaxy as fuel was slightly cheaper. None of the drivers really cared about that though. As company drivers, it didn't come out of their fuckin' pockets.

Andrew pulled the truck up to the fuel isle, with one truck ahead of him at pump #20 and there they sat for a good ten minutes.

"Alright, it's your first truck stop", Jay says, "mistakes are bound to be made. But the biggest mistake you can make, in my opinion, is dumping DEF into the diesel tank and vice versa. You're not dumb enough to do that dumb shit, are ya?"

"No, I don't think so" Andrew says, "what would happen if I did?"

"Doesn't mix. It's like putting hot sauce in a milkshake, it just doesn't go to together. Plus, we won't make any money while this thing is sitting in the shop getting its guts drained out." Jay scowls through the windshield at the truck in front of them, "What the hell is taking this motherfucker so long?"

"I don't even see anybody at the pump", Andrew adds.

"Come on, let's go see what's up with this dead dragon. We don't got time for this shit." Jay flings his door open and climbs down. Andrew follows suit. When they both arrive at the driver door of the seemingly unoccupied Kannadia model, Jay pounds his fist on it like he was hammering a nail into the side of a house.

"Hello! Anybody in there!" Jay shouts. There was no answer. Jay pounds on the door again before slamming both his hands against it rocking the whole truck, hoping to wake whoever was inside. But since no one was answering, there was only one other explanation. With all the other pumps full with lines of two or more trucks waiting, they had no other option but to wait for this inconsiderate driver.

While Jay continued to use his body weight to rock the truck, a man strolls over holding a cup of coffee in one hand and a bag of other stuff in the other.

"Uh, excuse me? Can I help you?" the man says.

"Uh, ya, you can pull forward so we can fuel", Jay says, "That'll help a lot."

"Sure, when I'm done fueling my truck", the driver says.

"So you been in there dicking around, got people waiting on you and you haven't even fueled yet?", Jay balls his fists up.

"I wasn't dicking around. Get away from my truck so I can fuel." The man attempts to move passed Jay who stands firmly in front of the door. His face was a tomato.

"Yer supposed to fuel first, pull forward, then you go dick around in the truck stop!" Jay sticks his finger in the mans face, "see this here, trainee? Don't be like this asshole right here!" The man swipes Jays finger away.

"Get your finger out my face! Don't put your finger in my face!" he yells.

Jay slams both his hands against the mans chest sending him flying to the ground in goofy, rag doll fashion.

"Yo Jay! Chill!" Andrew says but Jay proceeded to stomp on the man with his heavy, steel toe boots, "Let's just go to another pump, man."

The man tried to crawl away but Jay grabs him by his ankles and drags him back, proceeding to swing him around in circles. While that was happening, it turns out that there was someone in the truck after all, now peeking through the window at the commotion. Andrew hears the door open and the co driver of the man getting his ass beat jumps down from the truck.

"Yo!? You didn't hear us knocking? Why weren't you fueling while your partner was in the store?" Andrew asks.

"I's asleep!", the co driver replies, "can't do anything work related when you're in sleeper status!"

"Are you kidding me?" Andrew says as the man tries to move passed him to Jay but Andrew shoves him back. The co driver tries to shove passed Andrew again, pressing his forearm against Andrews chest. At that moment, a sudden resurgence of bottled up anger, loathing, repressed emotions, and skeletons emerged, coursing through his whole body before channeling throughout his muscles in his right shoulder and arm. Without another thought, Andrew swings his fist, crashing it into the side of the drivers face who stumbles back against the truck. The co driver lunges for Andrew and tackles him against the fuel pump. Meanwhile, Jay threw the other driver against the front of his truck before swinging him in a semi circle and ramming his head into the grill. Other drivers were now crowding around the brawl, most of them had their phones out recording. Only one driver of the crowd decided enough was enough and took it upon himself to intervene.

"Hey! knock it off! Come on!", the driver says and tries to pull Jay off of the badly beaten wrestling dummy, but Jay back elbows the driver in the face who stumbles back in anger. Jay finds himself being wailed on by the driver and before you knew it, a mosh pit of punches, shoves, kicks and head-butts formulated throughout the crowd. A brawl of three, very large truckers swung their beefy fists at each other, while at another pump, a driver uses a windshield wiper as a staff to fend off two other drivers, utilizing it with seemingly masterful, kung fu skill. While a driver is whacked over the head out of nowhere with a tire thumper, Andrew's opponent was grabbed from behind by a mega, bear sized trucker and squeezed like a skinny ass lemon in the most brutal of bear hugs. Andrew turns away to look for Jay but he was lost in the midst of the chaotic crowd.

"Jay!" Andrew calls, but the noise of fighting drowned him out. But Andrew wasn't left out of the rumble just yet, a snarling, angry dog appears and goes right for Andrew who fails in outrunning the K-9. Andrew screams like a little girl as the heavy dog grabbed a mouthful of his pants and proceeded to yank them half off his ass.

The Galaxy Truck stop store manager and a few employees come out to witness the commotion. "The police are on their waaaaayyy!", the wide mouthed manager yells, and immediately police cruisers pull up to the scene. All the drivers disperse in all directions.

Andrew was finally able to find Jay in the chaos still beating on three truckers at a time.

"Come on, Jay! It's the nine! Let's roll outta here!", Andrew grabs Jay by the arm and they run off to the truck.
