The Kawai bells did ring just like Tamiko had predicted. It was almost a shock to Danny but then the both of them had long learned to understand that Kawai was not as easy to be in as Grealor.
In fact, with the mad king's antics, this land was probably the place with the lowest life expectancy rates, and yet even then they had remained welcoming. Oh, to be born a Lycan under a tyrant's rule.
"Those are not warning bells," Dany pointed out when he heard the bells. In his time in this place, he had explored and read the books just because he didn't want to be on the wrong side of the law so Tamiko would be forced to deal with another unpleasant situation.
Danny was acutely aware of the eyes as he had spent all the nights he had been in Kawai reading and reading. Maybe he was obsessed with the damn library but he had seen what an error could lead to in Kawai and Danny didn't want to endanger any lives.
