"You switched it off, didn't you?" Akila asked and Tamiko stared at him definitely.
"Come on… you won't get a fight from me, but you need to rest. You look like shit… don't worry, I won't tell a soul you're here," Akila said reassuringly. He could see the stress markers on Tamiko's face even without his humanity.
He knew that this had to have been hard for the kid and frankly. Akila couldn't blame Tamiko for the choice he had made. At least it was the way that the kid could relax, no matter how hard it seemed after all that he had been through.
Maybe this was a risk he was taking for offering to house Tamiko, but what else was there for Akila? He was sworn to be loyal to Igor Konstantin, and the man's Erasthai by default. That was never going to be up for debate.
Maybe it was that this, to him, was just an act of love, for the family that needed his help.
