The king's decorations are a show of pride, one that the Furfantes didn't appreciate. They had been working towards removing the king from his seat and yet the man only ever got prouder by the day.
It was almost as if nothing affected him and it wasn't a good look for anyone. The Furfantes were losing their shit quite literally. There was no way the mad king always had something to lose, yet always never cared about the repercussions.
It was almost as if he didn't give a shit what anyone thought of his king, which was not okay because anyone with anything to lose was supposed to be worried. But then Zaffuto had tasted loss.
He had lived in loss for over two decades. He had suffered in that pain and he knew what it truly meant to lose. The Furfantes should have been careful, but then they were proud of their progress.
Perhaps that was why they were here, again, at their meeting spot while Zula and Ashton were Grealors.
