°Loid, what are your orders?°
"..."
As Makina's question nail to myself, I could only remain silent—lost in contemplation and inner conflict.
But at last, time will not wait for me as new information continued to be relayed in real time.
°Loid, it has been observed that there are civilians on board—including children and the elderly.°
"Ahhh, fu##, That bullshit, Makina. How many mimics do we have available right now?"
°There are at least 100 E-rank Mimics ready for use and 1,000 F-rank Mimics at your disposal. We could add more, but it would risk the vessel's stability.°
"Give me all the available mimics. I'm going to add them to my ranks."
°Aye.°
At that, my seat turned mushy and slimy, wiggling before sticking to my body.
Like a symbiote from Marvel, it merged with me, integrating into my form.
I stood up, moved toward the wall, and merged with it. Then, I exited the ship from the outside.
And immediately regretted it.
Since the ship was still sailing, the forceful wind nearly threw me back, making me cling desperately to the side.
"I should have really thought this through."
After those words, I actually did think things through and planned my next move.
"Now then... here we go."
I let go of the ship—dropping into the water with a splash.
Submerging myself completely underwater, I began to shift forms.
Nothing fancy, nothing complex—just a torpedo, allowing me to navigate through the water with ease.
I swam forward, moving fast enough to overtake the ship I had just left, heading straight for the two ships locked in battle.
Not long after, I arrived beneath the two ships and immediately began drilling holes into both hulls.
Yes, both.
I split myself in half, sending one fragment of myself—autonomously piloted—into the pirate ship, while my main body entered the cargo vessel drilling hole to both.
The holes I created weren't enough to sink the ships immediately but were enough to gradually flood them—ensuring they wouldn't remain afloat for long.
As I slipped inside the cargo hold, I quickly confirmed that this was indeed a cargo ship—filled with all sorts of goods and supplies.
However, from a modern perspective, what I saw stood out far more than the cargo itself.
People.
Chained.
Each one bound at the neck and limbs, their movements restricted, their freedom stolen.
"As expected... When I heard there were children and the elderly aboard this so-called cargo ship, it snapped me out of it."
There was no way children and the elderly would be on a normal cargo ship.
A transport ship, maybe.
But a cargo ship carrying elderly and children? No way. There's only one thing that could mean—human trafficking.
"As expected of another world. Good thing I left the stream on the ship, or else there would be a buzz on the stream, and I don't want to deal with that—especially now."
Seeing the chained people, especially the children, a bad premonition crept over me as their figures overlapped with memories of the brats from the orphanage. But I immediately dismissed it.
The children and the people were right in front of me.
This was happening in real-time.
I raised my arm and pointed at them.
With that, a hissing sound came from my hand, and immediately, a colorless mist spread, enveloping the entire space.
Some of the chained people stirred awake at the loud hissing, but they soon fell back asleep as they inhaled the mist. One by one, they drifted into unconsciousness until everyone was asleep.
Summoning a cloak, I called out.
"Aksa, hurry up. There are still others on the other ship."
•I know. Don't rush me. I already know what I need to do.
At that, a white portal appeared.
Multiple tentacle-like limbs emerged from my hands and back, some breaking the chains while others carried the people into the portal.
Once no one was left, I confirmed with Aksa.
"Is the other me finished on the other ship?"
•Yeah, just right after you.
"Good. Now then, Goddess, how about we start our first crusade?"
•Hmm… It's been a long time since a crusade was done under my name, but I have no qualms about it—especially since this involves the will of the soul. You get it, don't you?
"Haha, if you say it like that, the Westerners—especially the English, who always shout about it—will surely ride with you. Though, I don't know if they'd agree without the oil."
•Don't worry. I'll make sure to compensate them with a far higher-quality energy source if they agree with me.
"Well, that's a deal. Now then..."
At that, I summoned the Mimics that I had split with the Fragment—50 E-rank and 500 F-rank in my ranks.
I sent 25 E-rank Mimics into the fight, each accompanied by an equal division of F-rank Mimics.
The remaining half stayed with me.
A notification came from the other Fragment, stating that it was also ready and awaiting my mark.
With that, I sent a signal.
I formed a gun, raised it high above the deck, and with everyone aimed and ready, I shouted:
"For freedom, you motherfuckers!"
Then, I ordered a squad fire just above the deck.
The deck was riddled with holes.
The floor above collapsed, sending the fighters crashing down.
Unfortunately for them, aside from the injuries from the rubber bullets we fired and the fall from the upper deck, they suffered nothing serious.
Now, it was time for some action.
I ordered the Mimics forward, and they began subduing the enemies.
Most of them were also E-rank, but thanks to the enchanted guns—a combination of magic and science crafted by Makina—they were easily subdued.
As for the key figures that had been appraised earlier by Makina, we had already received detailed information about them before I drilled the hole.
They were still locked in battle with other key figures from the cargo ship.
In short, the pirate leaders and the cargo ship's key figures were in a stalemate, despite our third-party intervention.
Meanwhile, the other Fragment was doing the same, retrieving all E-rank Mimics to join the stalemate battle.
Having finished dealing with the E-rank subordinates, I decided it was time to merge all the Mimics into myself and join the fight with the Fragment against the key figures.
With the subordinates subdued, I absorbed the Mimics into my body and began climbing to the upper deck—just outside, for now.
I went up to the deck and found four individuals, each keeping a certain distance from the others.
"A stalemate, huh? First time seeing a real one."
X> Who's there?! Where did you come from?!
X> Where did you come from!?
X> Who are you, punk?! This is our ship!!!
X> You bastards better stay back! This ship is ours now!
X> You scum pirates, this ship is not yours to take with your dirty hands!
X> Arguments, shouting, etc...
Looking at the four, I could tell that two were pirates, while the other two were probably crewmates from the cargo ship.
But knowing what they were transporting, I could only see them as the same.
There was no real difference between them.
Not wanting to waste time talking, I sprouted wings and other flight assist mechanisms, then flew above the ship.
Seeing this, as if understanding something, the Fragment of me split itself, dropped to the deck of both ships, and then took off again, sprouting its own wings to join me in the air.
Once the Fragments reached my side, they positioned themselves and formed something with their hands—a shape that soon took the form of an RPG.
Then—they launched rockets.
Explosions rang out, creating holes in the hulls of both ships, making them sink even faster.
At that, the two Fragments looked at me, seemingly waiting for confirmation.
I nodded and told them both:
"Well done. You guys really are me, aren't you?"
At that moment, I saw the four D-rank figures—probably the key players on each ship—scramble to get into emergency boats, lowering themselves into the sea.
Seeing this, I ordered:
"Both of you, you know what to do."
The two Fragments nodded, forming sniper rifles before riddling the emergency boats with holes, sinking them before they could get far.
At this point, it didn't matter if they were fellow D-ranks—from what I had seen, they weren't even in a position to fight properly.
With that, I didn't even bother getting involved, leaving everything to the Mimics and the Fragments as they subdued the four struggling D-ranks.
The four tried to resist, but their movements turned awkward once they were submerged in the water—a stark contrast to how they moved on deck.
Under normal circumstances, they might have been formidable opponents, but right now, the situation was entirely against them.
After a few minutes, although I heard them throwing words, I wasn't in the mood to listen—especially knowing who they were.
A few more minutes passed, and eventually, they were unable to resist any longer—they were subdued.
