Third person POV
[Flashback ended, back to the present…]
Kichi is now running across the hallways of the third floor, searching for Rachel. He wanted to talk to her. And then, after much searching and metaphorically going around in circles, he heard some weeping in one of the empty classrooms and went inside, only to see that Rachel was weeping whilst hiding under one of the desks. "Rachel-chan?" Kichi said to her.
Rachel heard that and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I-I'm sorry…."
"It's okay, I understand…" Kichi replied while cautiously approaching her.
Rachel remained calm while still tearing up, "So sorry…"
Kichi then sat next to her. "What was that ability of yours?"
Rachel was mildly surprised at his question. "Eh?"
Kichi repeated that question again.
This time, Rachel replied with an answer, "I-It's called Sword Summoning…"
"Sword Summoning, eh…"
Rachel then nodded. "Yes, it is an ability where you can summon swords with magic."
"Wow, that sounds like a cool ability."
Rachel then mildly and positively nodded, before diving back to melancholic and traumatic-style sadness. "But, it ruined my life."
"How come?" Kichi asked.
At that moment, Rachel shared her childhood with Kichi in every detail. In terms of detail, her childhood was full of tragedies that took away her loved ones, especially that of her maternal aunt and cousin, who took care of her after the death of her parents in Germany. After that storytelling, Kichi was shocked and felt sorry for her to live such a hard life, while he got to move on from his biological father's arrest, execution, and disgrace and lived a good life in the Philippines with his mother and her new husband and family. "Wow…" Kichi said to her while feeling bad for her, "…I am sorry for you."
"Really?" Rachel was stunned.
Kichi then nodded, before sharing his backstory with a similar negative event in his childhood.
Rachel was quite shocked and asked back, "Wait, your father was that Red Shadow?" Kichi then nodded while feeling melancholic at his childhood story. "Yes…" At this point, Rachel felt that Kichi got to live a normal and great life unlike her, but wasn't envious of him.
But then, Kichi said to Rachel, "It's okay about last time. My ability saved my life."
"What's your ability then?"
"It's called Danger Sensation."
"What is that?"
"It's an ability where you can foresee any danger for 3 seconds. That's why it is also called the 3-Second Ability."
"Oh…"
And so, Kichi and Rachel became friends, although Rachel still has trust issues with anyone.
