Chapter 281 - Chapter 281 Unfinished Bussiness

To be honest, this kind of reward or option had never appeared before in any other world mission.

It wasn't just the others who were curious—Ryan himself was eager to try it out.

After all, until now, the chat group had never issued a reward like this. The missions had always followed a similar pattern, and the rewards had been fairly standard. But this? This was something completely new. The first of its kind.

How could he not be interested in the reward?

At that moment, all the Hokage turned their attention toward Ryan.

"Ryan! When are you going to use that reward, huh?" Hashirama grinned, leaning forward with excitement.

"Yeah! Don't forget about us when you do," Tobirama added, his analytical gaze sharp with curiosity.

"We all want to see what happens," Minato chimed in, his usual calm expression tinged with anticipation.

"In what form will the reward be given?" Kakashi mused, stroking his beard thoughtfully.

The room buzzed with energy as they all spoke at once, their eyes filled with interest. The idea of returning to a world they had already visited was completely unprecedented.

During their past interdimensional missions, they had always received a message upon departure, stating that the world they had just left would remain exactly as it was at the moment they exited. If they ever returned, everything would resume from that precise instant—no time lost, no progress made in their absence.

But no one had ever actually gone back.

The four worlds they had visited—One Piece, Bleach, One Punch Man, and now this new world of Jujutsu Kaisen—had all supposedly been left behind. But what did that really mean? What would actually happen if they returned? Would things be exactly as they had left them, or would the world have changed in ways they couldn't predict?

And what about this new world—the Jujutsu Kaisen world?

From the way the reward was described, it seemed like this was their chance to find out. No wonder everyone was so curious. Ryan, too, was deep in thought. Should he go now? Or should he wait?

That was the question. The reward wasn't going anywhere. He could use it whenever he wanted. There was no rush.

Still…

When would be the best time to go? That was something he needed to figure out.

For now, he remained lost in thought, weighing his options carefully. Ryan pondered for a moment before making his decision.

He was going now.

There was no need to wait, no reason to hesitate. Sure, he could choose to return to that world at any point in the future, but nothing there would change while he was gone. The world of Jujutsu Kaisen would remain exactly as it was at the moment he left. Whether he went back now or years later, everything would pick up from that same point, as if no time had passed at all.

The only real difference? His strength.

If he waited, he would only grow stronger. Facing the cursed spirits and sorcerers of that world would become even easier than it already was. But did that even matter? Not really. Even now, in that world, Ryan was already an unstoppable force—an existence beyond the ceiling of power.

Getting stronger wouldn't change anything.

So why wait?

By going now, he might gain rewards that were useful to him in the present. Right now, every advantage counts. The same reward is given to his future, a more powerful self wouldn't be as effective. But now? Now it could be game-changing.

His decision was made. Without wasting another second, Ryan prepared to set off.

After making his decision, Ryan spoke up without hesitation.

"Well, no point in overthinking it," he said with a grin. "I'm heading out now!"

His words caught everyone off guard.

For a moment, the group fell into stunned silence. None of them had expected him to act so quickly. The reward had only just landed in his hands—mere minutes had passed—and he had already made up his mind.

Then, the tension broke as Hashirama let out a hearty laugh.

"Haha! Not bad at all!" he exclaimed. "I like your energy, Ryan! That bold personality suits you!"

Tobirama, standing beside him, gave a rare smirk. "It seems this trip will be far more interesting than we thought," he mused. "A journey into that world again… when you return, you better tell us if we missed anything."

Excitement rippled through the group. The curiosity in their eyes was undeniable.

Ryan, undeterred by their chatter, turned his focus back to the chat group system and gave the command without delay.

"Use the reward—now!"

The moment his words fell, a brief silence settled over the space.

Then, the familiar mechanical voice of the chat group echoed in their ears.

At the same time, the translucent screen floating in the air displayed new content.

[Ding! Special Reward Activated!]

[You are now returning to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen!]

[Duration: 3 days]

[Restrictions: None! Feel free to explore and dominate!]

As they read the message, no one seemed particularly surprised.

This was exactly what they had expected.

Kakashi adjusted his headband slightly and nodded. "Just as I thought," he remarked. "The rewards haven't changed much in terms of function. It's another world visit, just with a longer stay this time."

He crossed his arms and smirked. "Three days, huh? That should be more than enough time to collect some valuable things."

The others exchanged glances before nodding in agreement.

Kakashi had a point. Three days were plenty of time to make the most of this opportunity.

Ryan couldn't help but feel a slight pang of disappointment as he read the notification.

This was more or less what he had expected, but deep down, he had hoped for something more.

If the chat group allowed him to revisit the Jujutsu Kaisen world to collect resources, then why not let him explore other worlds as well?

If he had a choice, there were two worlds he would prioritize above all others—One Piece and Bleach. Those two worlds were absolute gold mines.

The One Piece world had an abundance of Devil Fruits just waiting to be collected, each one a potential game-changer in battle. Not to mention Pure Gold, the legendary material that could grant near-immortality by halting aging—a treasure with limitless potential.

And in the Bleach world? Zanpakutō. Powerful, unique, and highly valuable—whether for direct combat or trading points in the chat group system. But beyond that, the Hōgyoku, an artifact capable of breaking the boundaries of evolution, and Reishi-infused artifacts held the promise of untold power.

Compared to those, returning to Jujutsu Kaisen's world seemed far less rewarding.

Sure, it was a modern world with high-tech advancements, but in terms of unknown treasures? There wasn't much.

Aside from some technological innovations, there was nothing that would truly boost his strength or benefit his home world in a meaningful way.

Still, Ryan sighed and shook his head. It was better to go than not to go.

Even if it wasn't ideal, he should at least walk away with something to show for it.

Just as he was about to confirm his departure, a sudden notification interrupted his thoughts. The mechanical voice of the chat group echoed through the air—

[An additional mission has been released.]

[Would you like to accept it?]

Ryan's hand froze mid-motion.

His eyes snapped back to the floating screen, widening slightly in surprise.

The others also turned toward the central screen, their expressions shifting to curiosity and anticipation.

Does a new mission mean more rewards for completing it? This could change everything.
