The sudden explosion startled Vireness and Lady Heloise greatly.
The next second, with a tense look on her face, Vireness loudly asked into her phone:
"Luo An! What's happening on your end!"
No one answered on the other side of the phone. Vireness looked down and saw that the call had been disconnected.
She tried to redial but no one picked up. Vireness turned her head with an ugly expression and looked at the old lady beside her:
"Lady Heloise, perhaps you should give me an explanation?"
Lady Heloise's expression was also very grim; the situation seemed to have spiraled out of their initial plan.
Hearing Vireness's words, Lady Heloise pondered for a few seconds. Just as she was about to say something, Vireness put away her phone and turned to walk toward the conference room's door.
