Then the Monk said, "What's there to talk about? Hurry up and eat, then hit the road!"
"Oh."
Gu Jiao ate a few wild fruits, so sour.
After filling her stomach, Gu Jiao packed up. There was almost nothing left in the first aid kit, and she had lost her bow, but making another one wasn't difficult with Master Lu and Xiao Shun around.
Gu Jiao shouldered the Red-Tasseled Spear and her small backpack.
The Monk stuffed the remaining sour fruits that could make one's teeth fall out into her backpack. "For sustenance on the road!"
Gu Jiao gave him a side glance. "You're just giving them to me because you're too lazy to carry them, aren't you?"
The Monk, holding his Buddha beads in one hand, replied, "Amitabha, so be it, so be it. The humble monk means well."
Gu Jiao: I'd have to be possessed to believe you.
The two left the dilapidated temple.
