After the magma went down, Elena was found standing on the sky with an ring with an orange gem held between the fingers of her right hand and a large dead snake held in her left. During the time of the eruption, not only Elena managed to get her hands on the amber coating the ring, she was even able to kill the serpent monster by taking advantage of its lose of balance because of the pressure of the eruption.
With the ring found, Elena had no more need to stay in this volcanic area anymore. Actually if she went with her hunch and had searched the tallest volcano first, then she would have been done with this task way earlier.
But even after she was done, Elena still continued to visit the remaining volcanoes. Obviously this time she was not really searching too thoroughly and was just enjoying the view. She was hoping to find a few more interesting beings like the fire spirit.
