Yohana opened her eyes to the warm sunlight seeping through the open window. It seemed that Lena had opened the curtain while Yohana was still asleep. It was Yohana's order for the servants to open the curtain once the sun had risen.
She wanted to wake up naturally. The sun in the spring was particularly warm against the cold morning wind. The mixture of warmth and coldness was soothing to her skin.
Usually, Yohana would toss around for some minutes before leaving the bed. However, today, she realized something and quickly jumped out of bed. She grabbed a blanket and covered herself with it.
Rushing out of her chamber, she headed to the north of the building. When she bumped into a servant, she stopped and held the servant's arm.
"Where is my brother? Has he left already?"
Yohana had written a letter for Lady Celeste. She intended to have Fabian hand it to the young lady. Even though saying goodbye in person would bring secondary harm, Yohana thought that a letter wouldn't.
