Kiritsugu arrived in England, his presence hidden from the prying eyes of the Magus Association. His connections as the renowned Magus Killer granted him access to a network of underground contacts and information sources. Utilizing his skills and experience, he began his search for Touko, a skilled magus known for her expertise in puppets.
Aware of the dangers that awaited him, Kiritsugu trod cautiously, leaving no traces behind. He contacted his old allies, those who owed him favors, and began gathering information discreetly. His primary objective was to locate Touko and seek her assistance in understanding and managing Shirou's unique mystic eyes.
However, Kiritsugu knew that he couldn't afford to be discovered by his enemies within the Magus Association. Having crossed paths with numerous powerful and vengeful magi in the past, he understood the importance of maintaining a low profile. Every step he took was carefully calculated, ensuring that he left no clues that could lead his enemies to him or his son.
As he delved deeper into his search, Kiritsugu relied on his intuition, experience, and the knowledge he had acquired over the years. He navigated through the intricate web of Magus society, uncovering anything that would aid him in his quest.
The hunt for Touko took 2 entire months but. He knew that finding Touko was crucial to understanding the true nature of his son's eyes and, ultimately, ensuring a safe deactivation or at least controlling them as she was the one that created a pair of glasses that deactivates the powers of mystic eyes.
While conducting his search, Kiritsugu's contacts led him to a peculiar piece of information—an old building located in Mifune City, Japan, known as Garan no Dou. Rumors circulated that this establishment was owned by Touko, the very magus he sought. Curiosity piqued, Kiritsugu delved deeper into the details surrounding the building.
Garan no Dou was said to be a detective agency, providing services to both mundane clients and those within the mage community. Its reputation for solving perplexing cases and handling delicate matters made it a focal point of interest for individuals seeking answers or aid.
Kiritsugu wondered if Garan no Dou could hold clues about her current whereabouts.
With newfound hope, Kiritsugu intensified his efforts, utilizing his connections to gain further insight into Garan no Dou. He discreetly gathered information, looking for any leads that would guide him to this mysterious building.
He gathered as much information as he could before leaving for Germany so he could bring back his daughter to his side once again.
Kiritsugu's journey to Germany was met with great anticipation and a sense of urgency. The Einsbern mansion stood, nestled within the formidable mountain range. However, as he approached, he encountered an impenetrable barrier of bounded fields that encased the entire area.
In his prime, Kiritsugu would have easily dismantled these barriers, but the curse inflicted upon him by the Holy Grail had taken its toll. His circuits had atrophied to a point where his once formidable magecraft against bonded fields was severely limited. No matter how hard he tried, he could not break through the intricate network of bounded fields that shielded the Einsbern mansion.
Frustration and helplessness welled up within him as he realized that his own limitations hindered him from reaching his daughter. The thought of Illya, his beloved daughter, being trapped within the confines of the mansion weighed heavily on his heart.
Kiritsugu's anguish echoed through the barren mountain range as he cried out his frustrations and regrets. The bitter wind carried his desperate words, but there was no response, no solace to be found in the desolate surroundings.
His voice was swallowed by the vastness of the snowy landscape, disappearing into the void like a fleeting whisper. The mountains remained indifferent to his turmoil, their stoic presence offering no comfort.
Day after day, Kiritsugu returned to the desolate mountain range, his heart heavy with despair. He knew deep down that his efforts were in vain, but he couldn't bear the thought of abandoning his daughter, Illya, to the clutches of the Einsbern mansion. The bounded fields surrounding the mansion were impenetrable to him now, his weakened circuits unable to break through their defenses.
Each visit to the mountain range only served to deepen his devastation. The once strong and determined Magus Killer now felt powerless and broken. His voice grew hoarse from shouting, pleading for a chance to see his daughter, but the old golem remained unmoved by his pleas.
Kiritsugu's days blurred together, his presence on the mountain range becoming almost ritualistic. He would stand there, gazing at the distance searching for the silhouette of the Einsbern mansion, a silent plea etched in his eyes. He felt the weight of his failures pressing down upon him, taunting him with their unrelenting grip.
No matter how much he screamed, cried, or pleaded, the old golem offered no reprieve. The mountain range became a symbol of his dashed hopes and shattered dreams. It was a constant reminder of his limitations, a stark reflection of the futility of his efforts.
In those desolate moments, Kiritsugu felt the depths of his despair, his spirit slowly withering away. But even in his darkest moments, a flicker of determination remained, buried deep within his soul. He couldn't abandon his quest, couldn't let Illya's fate be sealed by the corrupted grail.
With a heavy heart, Kiritsugu eventually turned away from the mountain range, acknowledging the painful truth that lay before him.
Though devastated and battered by his failures, Kiritsugu vowed to continue his fight. The mountain range would forever remain a haunting reminder of his anguish, but it also served as a reminder of his unwavering love for Illya and his relentless pursuit of a future where she could be free.
After taking a plane to Tokyo and then a train to Mifune City, Kiritsugu embarked on a mission to locate the exact building where Touko was rumored to be located. After a couple of hours of searching, he stumbled upon an abandoned building, its exterior covered in an eerie Boundary Field. Above the front door, the name "Garan no Dou" was etched, confirming that he had found the right place.
Stepping inside, Kiritsugu was greeted by a scene of desolation on the first floor. The remnants of what was once a bustling establishment now lay in ruins. Undeterred, he made his way up the stairs, only to find the second and third floors locked, denying him further access.
Determined to reach his goal, Kiritsugu continued his ascent, reaching the final floor. With a hint of anticipation, he approached the solitary room that awaited him at the end of the hallway. Bracing himself, he knocked on the door, his heart filled with a mix of apprehension and hope, wondering if he would finally find the answers he sought within the confines of this abandoned building.
"come in" he heard from inside
As Kiritsugu stepped inside, his eyes fell upon the two figures occupying the room. His gaze first landed on the woman sitting behind the desk, exuding an aura of elegance and maturity. She appeared to be in her late twenties or early thirties, possessing a slender and graceful figure that accentuated her above-average height. Her long, flowing hair, a vibrant shade of auburn or deep red, cascaded down to her lower back in loose waves.
The woman's eyes caught his attention next, their piercing and intense color drawing him in. They held a bright shade of violet, reflecting her intelligence and depth of character. Her facial features were well-defined, with high cheekbones and a slender nose, accentuating her composed and confident expression.
Dressed in sophisticated and fashionable attire, befitting her role as a mage, she wore a tailored suit that exuded professionalism and refinement. Her presence commanded respect and hinted at the wealth of knowledge and experience she possessed.
Beside her sat a young girl, appearing to be in her late teens or early twenties. Her short ink-black hair and pale complexion accentuated her striking black eyes, which seemed to hold a sense of depth akin to a clear void. She wore a red jacket over a kimono, along with lace-up boots, creating a unique and eclectic style.
Despite her youth, the girl possessed well-defined facial features. Her presence added an air of mystery and intrigue to the room.
The figure behind the desk regarded Kiritsugu with a mix of curiosity and amusement. "Ah, so the infamous Magus Killer, Emiya Kiritsugu, has finally sought me out. I must say, I'm flattered," she teased. The tension in the room heightened as the other person tensed, ready to pounce if Kiritsugu made a threatening move. However, he remained calm and replied, "No, I'm not here for that."
The woman's gaze locked with Kiritsugu's as she inquired, "Then what brings you here, Emiya Kiritsugu?" He met her gaze steadily and replied, "I need your help." Surprise flickered across her face at the unexpected request from the renowned Magus Killer. "Oh, really? And what is it that you need? Want me to provide you with information on your next target? Or perhaps construct a new puppet body for you?" she quipped.
Kiritsugu swiftly shook his head. "No, it's for my son." Her expression shifted to one of bewilderment as she uttered, "Your son?" Kiritsugu continued to explain, describing his son, Shirou, and his unique predicament with his overwhelming mystic eyes. He emphasized the dangers of the condition, and how the cells in Shirou's brain would rapidly deteriorate from the information his eyes provided if he wear a blindfold.
The figure behind the desk absorbed his explanation, processing the unusual request he had brought before her. After a moment of contemplation, she responded, "And you specifically came to me because...?" Kiritsugu's voice held a note of desperation as he explained, "I heard rumors that you created a special pair of glasses that can deactivate mystic eye abilities. and The Clock Tower would sooner kill me than offer any assistance."
"Hmm," she murmured, a smile gracing her lips. "Very well, I will help you. But be aware, Emiya Kiritsugu, that you will owe me a favor in return." She turned her attention to the other person in the room, addressing them as Shiki. "Shiki, it seems we'll be heading to Fuyuki tomorrow." Shiki merely nodded, maintaining a watchful gaze on the Magus Killer.
Returning her focus to Kiritsugu, she said, "Let's meet at 8 a.m. tomorrow in front of the train station." Kiritsugu expressed his gratitude before turning to leave. As he reached the door, he paused, turned back, and spoke his thanks once more. With that, he exited the room.
