A few minutes after the toast, everyone began talking amongst themselves and doing their own thing. Mako, Jak, and Meru talked with the other Water Wolves and Kruger chatted away with Ontoki and the other Armalians.
Gradually, the atmosphere returned to its lighthearted nature.
"So. How was the training?" Ranpto leaned forward eagerly, a meaty leg bone of some unknown monster clutched in hand. "Spill the beans."
"I heard you made a new spell. You haven't made one of those in months!" Ganja grinned, looking rather excited. "Their methods must've been intense!"
Mako laughed. "We were being trained by seasoned warriors on the level of Rift Hunters. If we weren't pushed to our limits, it couldn't really be called a training session. Their methods were a bit unorthodox compared to what we were taught by Hadok, but it wasn't a waste of our time whatsoever. I'd even go as far as to say it was exactly what we needed."
