Snow Collins' answer left Bella Scott both amused and annoyed. Did this man still mind Edward Anderson?
As if he knew what she was thinking, Edward added: "Edward got a head start. When I met you, he had been with you for over a decade."
It wasn't that he came too late, but that Edward came too early. He knew he didn't have a great chance of winning, so he had to plan everything.
If he and Edward had switched roles, Edward might not have been able to beat him.
After some thought, Bella could not refute Snow Collins' words.
"Yeah, he's been by my side ever since I can remember."
The person she once thought would be there for a lifetime eventually went separate ways.
