"Make sure you come back in time. I'll save a cup of my wedding wine for you!" Bella Scott sneered coldly and slammed the car door shut to vent her anger.
Edward Anderson watched her straight back and rolled down the window: "Bella..."
Bella turned back upon hearing his voice, "Anything else?"
"Aren't you going to say goodbye to me?" Edward shouted, revealing a warm smile.
The golden sunlight shone on his smile, making it heart-wrenchingly warm.
Bella's heart ached, and she took two uncomfortable steps back, whispering hoarsely, "Goodbye, have a safe journey."
It seemed like he got the farewell he wanted, and Edward waved to her: "Goodbye, I'm leaving."
Bella stood there, watching him drive away.
For a brief moment, she wanted to keep him.
But what could she use to keep him?
On what grounds could she make him stay?
If he is gone, let it be. She couldn't keep him, and there was no need to try.
