Charles White kept complaining.
He still couldn't understand what was going on in Edward Anderson's mind.
He obviously couldn't let go of Bella Scott, cared so much, and had loved Bella for half his life. Why couldn't he open his heart and forget the past unpleasantness?
Edward's gaze settled on the street corner not far away.
He had once met her here by chance. She had smiled and told him that there was a café on the other side with good coffee, and he should try it if he got the chance.
But for all this time, he hadn't had the opportunity to go there and sit down.
There, small groups of people came and went, neither too busy nor too quiet. It should be a good place to relax.
Charles was still talking incessantly, while Edward listened without paying much attention.
"Hey, Anderson, are you listening to me at all? If you don't come back, I'll crash her wedding!" Charles yelled, not getting a response from Edward.
