Bella Scott picked up the phone, her voice a little hoarse: "Edward Anderson?"
"It's me." Edward Anderson's voice came from the other end of the phone, as gentle as she remembered.
Bella's heart tightened, "Is there, um, something wrong?"
He should know that she was holding the wedding with Snow Collins, right? What did he want to do by calling at this critical moment?
"You invited me to your wedding that day. I was supposed to be there, but..."
Perhaps the signal was not very good, Edward's voice was intermittent, and Bella had to listen carefully to hear what he was saying clearly.
"That's okay. When you get married, I won't give you a gift either," Bella forced a laugh in response.
"I'm sitting in the coffee shop you mentioned right now. I suddenly remembered when you were very young that I said I would marry you when you grow up..."
Bella's eyes reddened when she heard this.
She wanted to say that it was fine and that they could be husband and wife in the next life.
