At noon, Grant Ray appeared at the club.
Using the pretext of business, he wanted to collaborate with the club, hoping to have frequent contact with Bella Scott, as it would give him an excuse to sneakily pursue her.
Unfortunately for him, the person to receive him was the vice-president, Leighton Campbell.
He wanted to see Bella, not this greasy-looking middle-aged man.
Feeling displeased, he didn't waste any more time beating around the bush: "I only want to discuss business with Bella. Mr. Campbell, please call her over. I came especially to see her!"
Leighton was in a difficult spot.
Upon hearing Grant had arrived, Bella decided to leave through the back door and told Leighton to receive him instead.
He couldn't just bluntly tell Grant that Bella had run away to avoid him, now could he?
"What, Bella doesn't want to see me? Do I look scary?" Grant could tell something was up from Leighton's expression.
He thought this woman was interesting.
