Far beyond the known universe, in the endless Great Void beyond all creation, a being was born—one of immense hatred and unimaginable power.
At first, it drifted aimlessly through the darkness, its very existence driven by pure malice. It didn't know why it was filled with such hatred, nor what—or who—it hated. But in time, it would discover the truth.
One day, it stumbled upon something the void had never shown it before: life. A realm not of emptiness, but of creation, light, and harmony.
And in that moment, it understood.
The hatred that had churned within it since birth was directed at life itself.
Fueled by newfound purpose and seething rage, it went berserk—devouring planets, corrupting entire galaxies, and plunging universe after universe into darkness. Its name became legend, whispered with fear: The Calamity.
The gods, unable to stand by as their creations were annihilated, waged war against the Calamity. But they were no match. Entire pantheons fell in moments. The gods were torn apart, scattered like stardust across the void.
Still, they did not give up. With their last united strength, the surviving gods created The Aegis—a massive dimensional refuge, a protective bubble capable of hiding planets and shielding them from the Calamity's gaze.
They gathered what remained of the dying universes—broken worlds, shattered stars, and the remnants of civilizations—and sealed them within the Aegis.
Then, the gods themselves retreated, vanishing into the depths of the Aegis. But before disappearing, they created one final hope: the Academy Continent.
Floating at the heart of the Aegis, the Academy Continent is home to thousands of academies, each with a single purpose—to train Liberators.
Liberators are beings capable of wielding supernatural powers drawn from a primordial force known as Authority.
Every living being—regardless of species, origin, or form—is born with Authority. It is the spark of self, the foundation of identity. Without Authority, a being would have no will of its own—no choices, no voice, no freedom. Authority is the essence of free will itself.
Though all possess it, few know how to use it. The gods were the first to teach mortals how to awaken, wield, and grow their Authority.
Some Liberators unlock it through deep realization. Others gain it by defeating powerful beings and absorbing their essence. And the stronger their Authority, the more potent their Declaration—a verbal manifestation of power shaped by belief, conviction, and will.
Now, across the Academy Continent, aspirants train to become true Liberators. They fight to reclaim lost worlds, purge them of the Calamity's twisted spawn, and return them to the Aegis.
Their ultimate dream? To one day confront the Calamity itself—and liberate the universe from its grip.
