Elder Meng soon realized that Wen Suihan was truly in a hurry.
He quickly handed the car keys to Wen Suihan.
Without a word, Wen Suihan pulled open the car door and got inside.
Not until Wen Suihan's car glided away did Zhang Cheng come rushing out of the company.
Out of breath, Zhang Cheng approached Elder Meng.
After they exchanged glances, Zhang Cheng asked, panting, "He left?"
Elder Meng nodded slowly, "He snatched the car keys and left."
Perhaps Elder Meng felt it was inappropriate to use the word "snatched" regarding his own boss, so he repeated himself, "He took the car keys and left."
Zhang Cheng gave him a look that one might give an idiot.
Thinking to himself: What the hell is the difference between those two sentences?
Elder Meng turned around, glanced in the direction from which the car had departed, and asked, "What's with Director Wen? Why such a hurry?"
Zhang Cheng had already given up arguing and began to straighten his loosened tie.
