Lu Zhen's eyes were vacant and dazed as he stared ahead without speaking a single word.
"Lu Zhen."
"Lu Zhen!" Jui Luli called out, a frown on her face.
"Ye… Yeah." Lu Zhen replied half-heartedly, pulling the two into his broad shoulders before jumping off the roof.
The black flames spread outwards, and even Lu Zhen felt the burn…
"Shit."
He glanced at Yin Li, who was burning up, and pulled her into his embrace, activating his intent forcefully to resist the hit.
Jui Luli also acted, doing her best to cool her off as quickly as possible.
Yin Li's complexion was flushed and pale. She didn't dare to ask questions; the chaos only made her more scared. Her arms coiled tightly around Lu Zhen, clinging to him like a koala to a tree branch.
Finally, when they made it out, her clothes had already burned off, and even her skin was scorched, leaving a brutal sight.
"Yin Li!" Jui Luli cried out with a sob, trying to heal her, but the process was agonizingly slow.
