Behind Ashiya Douman appeared a truly peculiar pair of individuals.
The man was short yet extremely obese, with dreadlocks, a single-lens pair of sunglasses, and a nose ring. His entire attire exuded a street hip-hop style.
The woman, on the other hand, was tall and exceptionally voluptuous, with a ponytail and large sunglasses covering half of her face. Beneath her rolled-up jacket sleeves, she wore a crop top revealing her toned waist, paired with ultra-short hot pants—her outfit was strikingly revealing.
Their extraordinary appearances and attire left Natsume, Suzuka, and Kurahashi Kyoko stunned.
But what was even more shocking was the dense and almost tangible aura of spiritual energy they both exuded.
Without a doubt, they were ogre.
Not newly formed spiritual disasters in the shape of ogre, but true, ancient demons with deep spiritual heritage and centuries of existence, much like Kakugyoki.
As soon as these two ancient demons made their entrance, they immediately displayed unrestrained excitement.
"It's finally our turn!"
The obese man with dreadlocks grinned.
"Lord Douman! Let us go at it!"
The scantily clad woman eagerly raised her hand.
Both ogres were itching to fight, eyes gleaming with a ferocity barely perceptible to others.
That very ferocity sent shivers down the spines of many yokai and spirits present.
It was inevitable.
Gozu.
Mezu.
These were the very figures that appeared in mythology—hell's enforcers, the underworld's soul-retrieving messengers, responsible for guarding and hunting spirits and vengeful ghosts. To ordinary demons, they were natural predators.
In terms of existence, they were as ancient as Kakugyoki. In terms of power, they were not much weaker than him. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been hell's enforcers for over a thousand years—their strength was what earned them that title.
Now, it seemed Ashiya Douman had subdued them, making them his shikigami.
"This is getting interesting."
Rozen curved his lips into a smile.
It was inevitable.
Since they were ancient demons, they were bound to appear in the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
With that thought, Rozen spoke up with great interest.
"Well then, you come out as well—Gozu, Mezu."
At those words, the excitement on the faces of the Gozu and Mezu standing beside Ashiya Douman froze instantly, their expressions turning to astonishment.
But behind Rozen, a wave of demonic energy had already swept forth with the eerie wind, summoning two figures into existence.
The summoned figures were a towering ox-headed man wielding chains and a horse-headed man of equally formidable build, his body wreathed in black mist, both exuding an overwhelming presence.
"Th-this..."
Gozu was dumbfounded.
"W-what...!? What is going on here!?"
Mezu pointed in disbelief, his voice rising into a shriek.
Responding to Rozen's call were none other than the exact same beings standing before them—hell's enforcers, Gozu and Mezu.
Though their appearances differed—Rozen's familiars looked more like the traditional depictions of Gozu and Mezu—there was no mistaking their identities.
This fact was obvious from the identical spiritual energy radiating from both pairs.
That was why Rozen found this so amusing.
Naturally, the Gozu and Mezu enforcers also found it highly intriguing.
"So, the other side has Gozu and Mezu too?"
"This is going to be fun."
The two enforcers behind Rozen grinned, clearly amused.
In contrast, the Gozu and Mezu beside Ashiya Douman had lost their previous excitement, their expressions now filled with hostility.
Even Ashiya Douman himself looked slightly surprised for once.
"So, they're also Gozu and Mezu... I see, this must be part of the Hundred Demons you personally cultivated and created, as that brat from the Kurahashi family mentioned."
Ashiya Douman chuckled in a low voice.
"Interesting, interesting. In that case, let's see which side's are more authentic—and just how good your 'craftsmanship' really is."
As soon as Ashiya Douman finished speaking, the Gozu and Mezu beside him charged forward as if receiving a command.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
With a single step forward, the ground beneath them shattered, sending a violent gust sweeping across the battlefield. Their speed was astonishing.
Seeing this, Rozen's Gozu and Mezu refused to be outdone.
"Ooohhh...!"
The two underworld enforcers swung their chains, striking at the incoming Gozu and Mezu with an eerie wind howling through the air.
"Still using those weapons? Do you really think you can steal my soul?"
Gozu roared as he clenched his fist and punched toward the incoming chains.
"Bang—!"
With a dull thud, one of the chains was knocked away, sent flying in another direction.
It was Gozu Enforcer's chain.
To this,
"I don't care who you are! If you dare offend my master, be ready for your soul to be taken!"
Gozu Enforcer snorted coldly, ghostly energy seeping from his bull-like nostrils. His thick arms pulled at the air, instantly retrieving the deflected chain and lashing it toward Gozu like a striking serpent.
"Tch!"
Gozu clicked his tongue but did not retreat. Instead, he stepped forward, his entire body twisting with spiritual energy—proof that he was going all out.
Not just him, but Mezu as well.
"Yaaaah!"
Mezu let out a piercing shriek. Rather than dodge the incoming chain, she grabbed it with her slender hands and yanked, attempting to drag Mezu Enforcer toward her as ghostly energy erupted around her.
"Not bad strength, but useless."
Mezu Enforcer scoffed, planting his feet firmly on the ground. With a powerful stomp, the earth quaked as if struck by an earthquake, shaking Mezu off balance and causing her to stumble forward instead.
"Don't get cocky, you damn fake!"
Mezu gritted her teeth and steadied herself, her energy surging. Her body suddenly expanded, bursting through her already revealing outfit.
"Who are you calling a fake!?"
Mezu Enforcer snapped, rushing forward and forming a fist. He swung mercilessly toward Mezu.
"Boom!"
A heavy punch struck Mezu in the abdomen, forcing a cry out of her.
But in the next moment, Mezu's own ferocity erupted. Rather than dodge, she threw a punch straight at Mezu Enforcer.
"Boom!"
Like being hit by a cannonball, Mezu Enforcer took the punch directly to the face, spewing a breath of ghostly energy.
That was it.
Now, Mezu Enforcer was enraged as well.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
A barrage of deafening blows rang out as the two Mezus engaged in brutal, no-holds-barred combat. Fists struck flesh with relentless intensity, a vicious exchange of blows.
Perhaps because they both recognized the other as Gozu and Mezu, neither side wanted to lose. Neither was willing to admit inferiority to their counterpart.
The same went for the two Gozus.
They repeatedly lashed at each other with chains, but when unable to close the distance, they started tearing down buildings—ripping out walls and beams to hurl them at one another, shaking the battlefield with every impact.
The scene was utterly breathtaking.
Natsume, Suzuka, and Kurahashi Kyoko were all at a loss for words, stunned into silence.
Yet Rozen and Ashiya Douman did not even glance at the ongoing battle, their expressions calm and unbothered.
