Koyuki sighed as we exited the train station. "Seems wherever we go, something eventful always happens."
Gael laughed. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
"I would."
I was more in the middle. It would be boring if interesting stuff didn't happen every once in a while, but at the same time, I didn't mind some smooth sailing every once in a while.
"We took to the skies and flew northward." I blew on my hands, letting out bits of fire mana to keep myself warm.
"Say, why do you rarely use your fire powers?" Gael asked, glancing at me.
I frowned. "What do you mean? I'm using them right now."
He shook his head. "That's not what I meant. I mean, why don't you fight with them?"
"Wait, come to think of it, did Captain use fire to escape your ice, Gael?" Koyuki asked.
He laughed. "That might be it. I actually didn't sense any being used, but Captain might've used it to warm his body up to defrost the ice." He eyed me again. "But that just makes its non-use strange."
