Dahlia's POV
Saffy blew gently on his soup, the steam curling up and fillin' the air with a comforting aroma. He said he was feelin' better now, but part of me couldn't help but worry about him. I draped a blanket over his shoulders, tucking it snugly around him.
"Ma," he whined underneath his breath, clearly not thrilled about the extra layer.
"Don't Ma me. Ya gotta keep warm," I replied, tryin' to keep my tone light, even though my heart was heavy with concern. "Besides, it's chilly in here. A little extra coziness never hurts."
He rolled his eyes but didn't push the issue, taking another tentative sip of soup. I watched him closely, searchin' for signs of improvement. The color in his cheeks was startin' to come back, but I could still see shadows under his eyes.
"Ya know, ya could use this time to rest and catch up on some readin'," I suggested, gesturing toward the stack of books on his nightstand. "Or maybe work on some of those ship models ya love so much."
