Rosemary PoV
I sighed as I rested my head on Saffron's chest. After eating we had gone to bed. Dahlia had moved the old crib all three of her kids had used to the room so Anis had a nice bed to sleep in while we stayed here.
According to Dad, the holy relic Saffron requested should come tomorrow. With it, we could hopefully go back home.
I wondered why Cyra hadn't attacked this place. Was there something here that prevented her from attacking? If so, maybe that was our solution to keep her from attacking us. Granted, she could step here, so maybe whatever was keeping her away just messed with her magic. But that alone was already a big help.
"What are you thinking about?" Saffron asked, rubbing my back.
I sighed again, feeling the warmth of Saffron's embrace as he gently rubbed my back. His touch was soothing, grounding me in the moment despite the swirling thoughts in my mind.
