Rose PoV
"Da-da!" Anis blurted out.
I turned around and saw Saffron walk in after a quick shower. His black hair was damp, and he was wearing a white t-shirt and a pair of beige slacks. His muscular arms were exposed, and I couldn't help but stare at them.
I blushed and looked away. "H-hello, Saffron."
"Morning," he said, walking over to me. "Morning, Ma, Sil, and Alli." He smiled at Anis and kissed her forehead. "And you too, baby."
Anis giggled. "Da!"
"Morning, Son!" Dahlia said, smiling. "How'd ya sleep?"
He glimpsed at me briefly before turning away. "Good. Anyway, I better start cooking breakfast."
"Oh, don't bother. I can cook, ya know."
"It's fine. I can cook today." He looked at Alli. "Say, want me to take you to school?" The look in his eyes was scary, as if he had overheard what we were saying.
She looked away. "That isn't necessary, brother. I can take care of it myself."
