Milo PoV
I jumped back as the shadow knights rushed at me with frightening speed. Their movements were fluid and relentless, a dark wave crashing toward me. I quickly assessed my surroundings, my mind racing as adrenaline coursed through my veins.
"Okay, Milo, think!" I muttered under my breath, feeling the heat of battle intensify. I had to act fast.
As the first knight lunged at me, sword raised, I sidestepped and unleashed a powerful fireball at its chest. The flames collided with the shadowy figure, but instead of dissipating, they absorbed the fire, the knight momentarily flickering and twitching like a zombie.
Saffron held put his hand out and transformed his cross necklace into a golden sword. "I developed my Umbra Guard in order to fight the Kasai no Ki. They're built to withstand attacks of that calibur and higher."
