Synopsis
Shortly after Chuck departed, Louis turned to Allison with a look of astonishment and inquired, "Who, precisely, is Chuck Cannon? I had assumed he was just an ordinary individual. He has undergone significant changes; he is no longer the same Chuck I married. While I am uncertain about the nature of these changes, I am confident that we will navigate this together. Perhaps we should consider engaging a formidable organization to address this matter effectively. Louis expressed uncertainty regarding that matter. Regardless, the last occasion we pursued this approach did not produce the desired outcome, as evidenced by our present circumstances.

Chapter 1 - First Night Of Cheating

Effective tomorrow, you will be responsible for the care of Nick, as I will be commencing a three-night shift, stated Allison May. Allison is married to Chuck Wallen, and they have a two-year-old son named Nick Wallen.

Allison pursued a career in medicine, while Chuck served as a family chauffeur. Allison hailed from an affluent background, in contrast to Chuck, who grew up in a modest household. After the passing of his aunt due to cancer, Chuck was subsequently taken in by Gideon, Allison's grandfather, and became a family driver..

Chuck was an exceptionally diligent individual, which led Gideon to embrace him as if he were one of his own grandsons. Subsequently, Gideon facilitated the union between Chuck and Allison. Despite their initial reservations, both Allison and her parents ultimately felt compelled to acquiesce to Gideon's wishes, given his position as the family patriarch.

Allison and her parents have consistently looked down upon Chuck and mistreated him since his marriage to Allison. However, Gideon had always been there to defend and support him. Following Gideon's passing, the mistreatment from Allison and her parents has escalated significantly, yet Chuck has grown accustomed to this behavior and now perceives it as normal.

The following day, at approximately 6 PM, Allison tenderly kissed her two-year-old son on the cheek and bid him farewell. She then hurried out of the bedroom and made her way directly to the living room, where Chuck awaited her to drive her to work. Chuck served as the family chauffeur, though he had not been compensated since the passing of Mr. Gideon.

Chuck accompanied Allison to the entrance of Westminster Hospital and observed her as she entered the premises. Just as he was preparing to depart, he noticed his wife embracing a gentleman dressed in a tailored black suit. However, he dismissed it, as Allison maintained a wide circle of friends with whom she often socialized, while he focused on caring for their son, Nick.

Chuck pivoted and pressed the gas pedal, driving home to reunite with his son. "Hello, darling," Louis greeted Allison as they embraced. "This evening, we will enjoy some quality time together, just the two of us, while your husband stays home with your son."

Louis, the son of one of Baltimore's wealthiest individuals, possessed a certain entitlement that allowed him to pursue his desires, including Allison, despite her marriage to Chuck. He often regarded those from less affluent backgrounds with disdain. Interestingly, while Allison was married to Chuck, her parents had a fondness for Louis and disdained Chuck.

Louis had recently introduced himself to Allison during their encounter at the hospital, where she was attending to his father. Subsequently, Allison reached out to her friend Susan, who had always held a negative view of Chuck, repeatedly advising Allison to divorce her seemingly unworthy husband. Upon learning the news, Susan expressed her happiness for Allison.

Allison deceived Chuck by claiming she would be working a night shift, whereas the reality was that she intended to spend time with Louis at a hotel in Baltimore. Meanwhile, at home, Chuck began experiencing intense headaches around 8 PM. In the hotel, Allison and Louis were enjoying themselves, unaware that Chuck was en route to the hospital due to his debilitating headaches, and unforeseen developments were imminent.

During his journey to the hospital, Chuck repeatedly attempted to contact Allison to notify her of his condition, as he was feeling unwell. He left a voicemail message stating, "Thank you for your call, Allison. I am currently unavailable, so please leave a message after the tone."He further informed her, "Allison, this is Chuck. I am en route to the hospital due to not feeling well. Please return my call."Subsequently, Chuck continued driving towards Westminster Hospital.

Where is that ineffectual son-in-law?"Allison's mother inquired of one of her staff."I am unsure, but I believe he is residing in his modest dwelling outside. Following Gideon's passing, Chuck has been living in a store that contains only a small bed and some provisions. He seems untroubled by this arrangement, as he has no alternative, having been sent away from their room by Allison after Gideon's death.

Please go and contact him immediately on my behalf," instructed Allison's mother to one of the servants. The servant hurriedly left for the store, calling out for Chuck, but received no reply. Frustrated, she kicked the door open and entered the store where Chuck often rested, only to find no trace of him. The servant muttered to herself, "Madam will be very displeased today.

As Chuck arrived at the hospital, he thought to himself, "I will prioritize visiting the emergency room before seeking my own treatment, and afterwards, I will proceed to the ward to check on my wife."He made his way directly to the emergency room, where he encountered a woman in her late twenties, with long black hair, wearing a white lab coat. Her name tag identified her as Dr. Dorothy.

Good evening, how can I assist you today?"inquired the woman wearing a white lab coat, as she made eye contact with Chuck. He proceeded to introduce himself and informed Dr. Dorothy that he was seeking treatment for a severe headache. "When did the headaches begin?" Dr. Dorothy asked. "A few hours ago," Chuck responded. "Alright, I will need to ask you a few questions to determine the underlying issue, after which I will direct you to the pharmacy for your medication," she replied. "Understood," Chuck nodded in agreement.

While at the Lord Baltimore hotel, Allison and Louis were reveling in their time together, having donned white robes and reclining on a spacious bed, engaged in affectionate interactions. Meanwhile, Chuck was undergoing treatment at the hospital and was preparing to transition from the emergency room to the pharmacy, but he opted to inquire with Dr. Dorothy about Allison's whereabouts.

May I inquire about the purpose of your questions regarding Dr. Allison's whereabouts?"Dr. Dorothy asked assertively. "I apologize for not properly introducing myself earlier," Chuck replied. "Dr. Allison or rather my wife is the individual you are inquiring about."Dr.Dorothy, visibly taken aback, questioned, "Are you serious? You are stating that you are Dr. Allison's husband?"To which Chuck confirmed,"Yes, that would be me." "I cannot speak to that, but I should inform you that Dr. Allison is not scheduled to be on duty this evening," Dr. Dorothy responded.

What do you mean she isn't on duty tonight?"Chuck inquired. Dr. Dorothy responded, "Mr. Chuck, I have already informed you that your wife is not working this evening; in fact, she is currently on a three-day leave. If you don't mind, I have other patients to attend to, so I kindly ask that you visit the pharmacy for your medication."Chuck felt confused and pondered,"But she mentioned that she would be working tonight—could she have been untruthful with me?

Upon returning home, the servant informed Yvonne Allison's mother that Chuck was nowhere to be found. "Hand me my phone; this incompetent fool will understand who I am tonight," Yvonne asserted. She took the phone from the servant and proceeded to dial Chuck's number. Meanwhile, in the hospital, Chuck was preoccupied with thoughts, contemplating his wife's whereabouts and the reason behind her claim that she was at work.
