"Clang, clang, clang!"
Uchiha Obito, wielding kunai, and Uchiha Shisui, with his short sword, immediately clashed with Sif.
After a brief exchange of probing attacks, Sif realized just how formidable the ninja were.
They were far stronger than the werewolves she had fought earlier. With the two Uchiha members restraining her, things were starting to look bad for S.H.I.E.L.D.
Many special agents were killed, and May, who had already taken some hits from the werewolves, was now severely injured.
While she was able to handle the earlier werewolves, once Michael joined the fight, May quickly realized she was no match for him.
Michael was a hybrid of werewolf and vampire bloodlines, making him far more powerful than the standard enhanced S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and May struggled to fend him off. Her body was covered in wounds from the battle.
Meanwhile, Coulson and Ward had stayed outside to prevent any male agents from being controlled.
They had initially planned to provide support with firearms, but the magical defensive barriers around the agency prevented the bullets from entering.
Unable to assist from outside, they communicated through earpieces with May and Sif inside.
As they listened to the sounds of agony and May's pained groans, the two exchanged a look.
Coulson spoke grimly, "We need to go in and provide support. If things go south, get May out and retreat."
"Charles knows what's happening. Help will arrive soon."
Ward nodded in agreement, and the two quickly pushed open the door to enter the agency.
Once inside, they immediately saw Michael relentlessly beating on May.
Her body was covered in fresh injuries, her face bruised, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.
Seeing her in such a state, Coulson and Ward immediately opened fire on Michael.
The joint assault forced Michael back, giving May a brief moment to recover.
Ward, shocked, muttered, "Although I knew, I still can't believe werewolves exist in this world."
Coulson moved quickly to May's side and helped her to her feet, "Where's Lorelei?"
May shook her head, "I haven't seen her yet. The agency's guards stopped us before we could reach her."
Just as they spoke, Michael charged again. The three of them—Coulson, Ward, and May—fought together to hold him off, but they were locked in a stalemate.
…
Meanwhile-
Elsewhere in the agency-
"Sharingan, activate!"
Uchiha Obito was fully committed, activating his three-tomoe Sharingan. His reaction speed and dynamic vision were significantly enhanced.
Obito had gone all out, while Shisui, wielding his short sword, skillfully blocked Sif's attacks, ensuring Obito wasn't injured, though he wasn't using his full strength in the battle.
Despite Shisui holding back, Sif could feel the pressure mounting. These two young ninjas were able to hold their own against her in terms of raw strength and even launch controlled fire techniques.
If these young ninjas were so strong, how powerful must the adult ninjas be?
Thus, the battle inside the agency reached an eerie deadlock, with neither side able to claim victory for the moment.
…
"Rasengan!"
Jiraiya leaped down from the second floor and appeared before Sif, his hand charged with a Rasengan ready to strike.
In the nick of time, Sif raised her shield and blocked the Rasengan.
The Rasengan collided with the shield, spinning and expanding rapidly.
Then—"Boom!"
The Rasengan exploded, sending Sif flying across the room and crashing into the wall of the agency. The wall shimmered with magical light, or else the force of the impact would have completely shattered a normal wall.
Sif quickly rose to her feet. The attack had been mostly blocked by her shield, and the shockwave hadn't caused her any serious harm.
At this moment, Lorelei stood on the second floor, watching as Sif struggled. A smile appeared on her face.
Seeing Sif sent flying, Obito spoke up, "Jiraiya-sensei, this woman's target is Lady Lorelei."
Jiraiya nodded, "Leave it to me. I'll deal with her."
Obito, seeing that his opponent was being handled by Jiraiya, immediately shifted his focus to Coulson and his team.
Sif quickly stood up, twisting the hilt of her sword, causing another blade to spring out from the bottom.
Holding her weapon, her peripheral vision caught sight of Lorelei standing at the staircase on the second floor.
Lorelei, smiling, spoke down to her, "Sif, go back to Asgard. Stop bothering me."
"Leave you here?"
"Not a chance!"
Sif's expression was resolute as she responded.
Lorelei continued, "I won't be a threat to Asgard while I'm here. Can't you just leave me be?"
"This has nothing to do with my will. I've been ordered to bring you back."
Lorelei sneered, turning her head dismissively, and then taunted, "After all these years, you still haven't changed."
"Always following orders, bowing to those who command you..."
"Never fighting for what you want, including Haldor and Thor."
"One of them sees you more as a pet than a woman."
Sif's face turned ashen, veins bulging as she gripped her sword tightly.
"Come back to Asgard, Lorelei."
Lorelei smiled: "Did you see that? That's our difference. I never follow orders."
Then her expression shifted as she noticed the collar around Sif's waist, and she turned to Jiraiya, "Kill her!"
Sif, wielding her sword, charged forward, determined to take the initiative.
In the blink of an eye, she reached Jiraiya, her sword aimed straight at him.
"Clang!"
"Clang, clang!"
Jiraiya pulled out a kunai from his ninja tool pouch and blocked Sif's attack directly.
The clash between the sword and kunai created a shower of sparks.
"Clang, clang!"
