Gunshots erupted in the building, the sound chaotic and deafening. Verena couldn't help but smile when she heard Louis's men were here.
"What? Who found this place?" the leader barked, his face twisted with rage. "Hurry and shoot them all-dead!"
The gunman behind Verena didn't move. Even as Verena thought he might leave her side to engage in the fight, he remained where he stood.
Ariana was visibly shaken. She knew Louis had arrived. She had tried to force Verena into signing the divorce papers, but now Louis was here.
Verena might have thought that signing would save her, but Ariana had no intention of letting her live another day. She had orchestrated this whole thing and played the victim in the process.
Meanwhile, outside the sound of punches, kicks, and grunts filled the air as the two groups exchanged blows.
